The lower house approved amendments on 21 October; Senate review remains necessary.
The Chamber of Deputies approved amendments to the Private Property Inviolability bill by 124 votes to 119, with 6 abstentions. Its official report states that the text returns to the Senate before final passage.
The debate included reaffirming rural-land protections. A vote in one chamber establishes neither a new law in force nor a change to CBI.
Our approach
At CAMEJO LAW FIRM, we assess citizenship and land acquisition separately. The buyer’s nationality, transaction timing, ownership structure and prohibition of sham ownership require individual review; we do not promise automatic exemption from property restrictions.
